Tethys Summit 2025: Travel Grant Program

The Tethys Summit 2025 Travel Grant Program is designed to foster inclusivity, global collaboration, and knowledge exchange by enabling broader participation in the Tethys Summit. This program offers financial support to individuals who would otherwise face barriers to attending the Summit, particularly users and contributors to the Tethys Platform and/or GEOGLOWS open-source ecosystems.

Objectives

  • Support international and underrepresented participants in attending and contributing to the Summit.
  • Strengthen the Tethys and GEOGLOWS open-source ecosystems through expanded global engagement.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  1. Active engagement with the Tethys Platform or GEOGLOWS—this includes developers, users of Tethys or GEOGLOWS applications, contributors to documentation or outreach, or members of the broader Tethys and GEOGLOWS open-source ecosystems.
  2. Demonstrated financial need, particularly those from under-resourced institutions or countries.
  3. Intended participation in the Summit, including a brief plan for how attendance will benefit the applicant and the community (e.g., giving a talk, participating in a workshop, networking to build collaborations).
  4. Willingness to contribute to the Tethys Platform and/or GEOGLOWS ecosystems after the event (e.g., blog or social media post, contribution to the project(s), lead a workshop or tutorial at home, host a webinar, or mentorship activities).
